The Ten Scrolls are coming from The Greatest Salesman in the World, a book written by Og Mandino, first published in 1968 and then re-issued by Bantam in 1983. The book serves as a guide to a philosophy of salesmanship, and success, telling the story of Hafid, a poor camel boy who achieves a life of abundance. In general it is a book for success motivation.
Mandino consists of the following scrolls:
Scroll I — I will Form Good Habits and Become their slave
Scroll II — Greet Each Day with Love in your Heart
Scroll III — I Will Persist Until I Succeed
Scroll IV — I am Nature’s Greatest Miracle
Scroll V — Live Each Day as if it Were Your Last
Scroll VI — Master Your Emotions
Scroll VII — The Power of Laughter
Scroll VIII — Multiply Your Value Every Day
Scroll IX — All is Worthless without Action
Scroll X — Pray to God for Guidance
His primary message was to “do it now”. If following Mandino’s suggested reading structure, Scroll I should be read three times a day for thirty days straight. Only after completing the thirty days of reading Scroll I, should you continue to Scroll II for thirty days and so forth through Scroll X. Therefore, it would take about 10 months to read the book.
I don’t think it is only for success motivation. In this situation with CoVid-19, if you still have’t started anything or feel that you haven’t done anything yet, why don’t you start this plan for 10 months to read these ten scrolls. I think it would be helpful for you to get over this disaster and keep motivated for the coming new days after pandemic.
10 months should get both done, the scrolls and the pandemic. I am sure.
